Midwest Canes 13u looks to build on their 12u season that featured a 55-10 record and some solid finishes in Cooperstown, NY and the USSSA Elite Worlds in Florida. They return a core of 7 players while adding 5 of the best the area has to offer. Returning Ace, Drew Palileo, is back with his high velo fastball and off the charts athleticism. Now paired with lefty sensation Jaxson White and Quinn Westerfeld they look to form a solid top of the rotation trio. After those 3, Midwest Canes go 7 more right handers deep with Chase Millington, Boston Roberts, Holden Prall, Ty White, Landon Dayhoff, Johnny Winstead and Elliott Kopf all providing their unique skill sets. This team is capable of scoring double digit runs on any occasion with its explosive offense that features 12 dudes that all hit above .400 last year.
At the top of the lineup you can see any combination of the speedsters T. White, Roberts, Palileo, Tommy Pederson or Winstead. The middle of the lineup will feature big left-handed bats from J. White, Andrew Noble and Westerfeld along with right-handed power from Prall and Millington with Kopf and Dayhoff adding a much-needed balance throughout the lineup.
Defensively they have loads of options. The catching duo of Prall and Millington plans to be just what the staff will need. On the infield at 1B they will feature the two big lefthanders in J. White and Westerfeld. On the hot corner you can see a combination of Palileo and Millington. The middle Infield will feature Roberts, T. White, Prall and Millington.
The outfield which plans to be a strength will feature a group of former centerfielders in Winstead, Pederson, Kopf, Noble, Dayhoff and Westerfeld. Once assembled, this team competed in 4 tourneys during the fall season finishing with an 18-1 record, winning all 4 tourneys and riding into spring on a 18 game winning streak.
This spring features a top notch competitive schedule that will see them compete at Grand Park in Indianapolis multiple times including the Super Select tourney the 1st of May. The month of June heats up to be the most challenging month of the year for this team with tourneys at Indiana University, TBS Nationals in Myrtle Beach, ABC Championship in Indianapolis and rounding out the month at PBR Nationals at Lake Point.
